- After 15 years of of taking the job of President, Treasurer and Editor, the club voted unanimously to make Hugh, President for life, a position which carried no responsibilities other than accepting a free membership in perpetuity as a token of our appreciation.
- Sutherland, Hugh - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Hugh Sutherland on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Sunnybrook Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Aileen, daughter Daryle and son David (Annette) and grandchildren Michelle, Chris, Amy, PJ and Brandon. Hugh was an avid sports car enthusiast. He was past president of the Lotus Club of Canada and served as a navigator in the RAF during the war. Funeral Service will be held at St. John's United Church, 2 Nobert Rd., Toronto on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Many thanks to the staff at North York and Sunnybrook Hospitals.
- A card has been sent to Aileen on behalf of Lotus Club Canada. A donation will be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Hugh's name.
